The Commerce ISD Departments of HEALTH SERVICES and FAMILY SERVICES work closely together to help promote safety, wellness, and well-being for our students and their families, in and out of school.

Commerce ISD requires that all students who need medication administered during school hours comply by the following: 1. Present a written consent form signed by the parent/ legal guardian AND doctor. 2. Prescription medication must be in the original container and properly labeled by pharmacy. Over the counter medication must be brand new with seal intact. 3. Parent/ guardian must bring/ pick up medications from school. Students may not bring medications to school. No expired medication will be accepted. Medication Authorization Form

Commerce Food Pantry - 1216 Monroe Street in the First Presbyterian Church near downtown

Until further notice, the Commerce Food Pantry offers curbside service Thursdays from 2 to 4 p.m. Neighbors are requested to remain in their vehicles along Monroe Street and will be directed when to pull forward. A volunteer will collect information verbally and then a volunteer will load pre-bagged groceries into their car. Accommodations will be made for those walking or biking. Neighbors may receive assistance once per calendar month.
Bread of Life Food Pantry - 301 Hwy 224, Commerce, TX.
Distributes free food to those in need. Most boxes consist of canned vegetables, rice, pasta, peanut butter, cereal, juice, and canned meat. We also offer frozen meat, and fresh produce when in stock. New clients bring a photo ID and proof of address. For example, current utility bill. Our distribution days are the first Friday after the first Wednesday 12:00pm - 2:00pm (open to seniors at 10:00am) and on the 3rd Wed of the month from 5:00pm – 8:00pm.
